A story of a board...

How it all started
I moved to California with nothing but the illusion of surfing every day and a backpack full of 20 years worth of material belongings. Motivated, I went to a local surf shop and bought a beat up longboard. Soon I realized noseriding was not easy at all. One day at home I was looking up online exercises to improve my  crossteping technique. I found many exercises but they all seemed to be too broad and boring until I came across a balance board but little I knew what I was getting into. I built myself a balance board from an old squared piece of plywood that my uncle had in the garage ( the dimensions of that piece of plywood are the same dimensions that I still use to make balance boards, some people would call it fate, I call it finding a piece of wood and adapt it to your project) . I cut out using a hand saw the corners in order to attempt a more rounded shape and glued two straight thin bars under the board along the rails that would act as stoppers so I don't eat crap as badly. The most important part of a balance board is the roller. I did not know that back then. I tried all the rollers that people from forums would recommend and after a lot of experimenting I found the best roller ever. How I came across the roller that I use now for my boards and the shape of the board is another story, that if you want to hear you have to buy me a board or a fish taco. Oh and by the way BOBA means body balance because I believe that a balance life is the key of a healthy and happy life :)
